How to connect Expedia to MyOTASync

In Expedia Partner Central: Rooms & Rates → Connectivity Settings → select MyOTASync, then map your rooms and rates.

What Expedia asks you for

Property ID
Expedia Partner Central → property details

Once authorised you map each Expedia room and rate plan to a room type in MyOTASync. Mapping is always a manual step, and it is the one that decides whether rates land on the right room — so we do it with you rather than guessing. Expedia also lets us pull reservations made before you connected, so your calendar starts complete.

What changes once Expedia is live

  • Expedia draws from the same inventory pool as your direct bookings and every other OTA, so it cannot sell a room you already sold.
  • Rates, minimum stays and stop-sell push to Expedia from the same calendar as everywhere else.
  • Every Expedia booking lands in one reservations feed with its commission and net revenue already calculated at ~15%.

What we cannot do

  • Create your Expedia listing. Expedia requires its own signup, verification and content review — no API creates listings. A few days for verification and content review.
  • Speed up Expedia’s own approval queue, or take a cut of what it books for you.

Expedia channel manager questions

The things owners ask before connecting Expedia.

How do I connect Expedia to a channel manager?

In Expedia Partner Central: Rooms & Rates → Connectivity Settings → select MyOTASync, then map your rooms and rates. After that you map each Expedia room and rate plan to a room type in MyOTASync, and activation pushes a full forward sync of rates and availability.

How long does it take to connect Expedia?

Same-day once connectivity is set. Mapping rooms to rate plans adds a few minutes of your own time. Where a channel shows a waiting state, that is Expedia processing the request rather than an error on our side.

What commission does Expedia charge?

~15% is typical, though your own contract governs. MyOTASync stores your real Expedia commission and reports every revenue figure net of it, so you can compare Expedia against your other channels on what you actually keep.

Will connecting Expedia stop double bookings?

Yes. Once Expedia is live it draws from the same inventory pool as your direct bookings and every other connected OTA, so a room sold on any channel becomes unavailable on Expedia within seconds.

Can MyOTASync create my Expedia listing?

No. Expedia requires its own signup, contract, verification and content approval, and no channel manager has an API that creates listings. We guide you through it and take over the moment your listing is live.

Can I import my existing Expedia bookings?

Yes. Expedia supports pulling reservations made before you connected, so your calendar starts complete rather than showing those dates as available.
